Joris Laarman Lab is an experimental playground set up to study and shape the future. It tinkers with craftsmen, scientists and engineers on the many new possibilities of upcoming technology and its consequential esthetics. The work is very diverse, from sculptural experimental furniture and innovative production processes to museum installations, film, digital media and workshops at universities around the world. The lab started in 2004 by Joris Laarman and partner and filmmaker Anita Star. Both grew up in the rural countryside of the Netherlands. Joris attended the Design Academy Eindhoven in 1998 and graduated cum laude in 2003. He gained first notoriety with the Reinventing functionality project, which included functional rococo radiator Heatwave that was picked up by Droogdesign and now produced by Jaga. He contributed in articles and seminars for Domus magazine and was a guest teacher at European universities like the Architectural Association London, Rietveld academy Amsterdam and the Design academy Eindhoven. During her study film and documentary Anita joined forces in 2004.

Places Journal
Places is a leading journal of contemporary architecture, landscape, and urbanism. We publish essays, criticism, photography, and narrative journalism, as well as peer-reviewed scholarship that deserves a wide audience. Our mission is to harness the moral and investigative power of public scholarship to promote equitable cities and sustainable landscapes. We publish designers, artists, and thinkers who are responding to the profound ecological and social challenges of our time. Cities that are growing and cities that are shrinking, environmental health and social equity, climate change, resource scarcity, technological innovation — all demand that we rethink how we plan, design, construct, and maintain the built environment. These challenges also demand that serious design journalism and scholarship move from the margins to the center of the larger cultural discussion.

Glithero
Glithero are British designer Tim Simpson and Dutch designer Sarah van Gameren, who met and studied at the Royal College of Art. From their studio in London they create product, furniture, and time-based installations that give birth to unique and wonderful products. The work is presented in a broad spectrum of media, but follows a consistent conceptual path; to capture and present the beauty in the moment things are made.
Tom Price
Much of the work Price produces seeks to explore the untapped potential of familiar materials, encouraging them to behave in unfamiliar ways. This often requires developing machinery and tools that are capable of subverting conventional industrial manufacturing techniques, introducing a dose of entropy into what are typically very controlled processes. Chance is an essential element in this creative process, and one that Price relies on to transcend the limits of imagination.
