Slow Research Lab is a multidisciplinary research and curatorial platform based in the Netherlands. Through a mix of theoretical reflection and creative experimentation, we investigate an expanded terrain of individual and collective potential that brings balance to the pace at which we encounter the world, and integrity to how we position ourselves within it.

fuse*
Fuse* is a studio that operates in the field of digital arts and design, founded in 2007 with the aim of exploring the expressive potential offered by the creative use of code and digital technologies. Ever since the outset, the studio’s research has focused primarily on creating profound audience engagement, searching for new languages that may heighten the emotional impact of the narrative. over the course of the years, the studio has grown, thereby allowing for an ever more holistic approach to the creation of new projects. adopting a modus operandi which valorises pure experimentation and an empirical approach to the creative process, the goal is to push back the limits and seek out new interplay between light, space, sound and movement.
RCA Design Interactions
In Design Interactions we explore new roles, contexts and approaches for design in relation to the social, cultural and ethical impact of existing and emerging technologies. Projects, which are often speculative and critical, aim to inspire debate about the human consequences of different technological futures — both positive and negative. Students work closely with experts outside the College, designing for the complex, troubled people we are, rather than the easily satisfied consumers and users we are supposed to be. Project outcomes are expressed through a variety of media — including prototypes, simulations, video and photography. Graduates go on to set up their own studios, work in industry research labs and design consultancies.
Gray Area Foundation
Gray Area Foundation for the Arts, Inc. is a 501(c)3 Non-Profit Organization supporting Art & Technology for Social Good.
The Interactive Architecture Lab
The Interactive Architecture Lab is a multi-disciplinary studio interested in the Behaviour and Interaction of Things, Environments and their Inhabitants. We design, build and experiment with Responsive Environments, Robotics and Kinetic Structures, Multi-Sensory Interfaces, Wearable Computing and Prosthetics, the Internet of Things, Performance and Choreography.
Thought Collider
Thought Collider is an experimental, critical art/design research practice based in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, comprising the work of Mike Thompson and Susana Cámara Leret. Our work focuses on the exploration of the meanings and values that can be derived from alternative ways of experiencing built and mediated environments, motivated by emerging technologies.
